Granite Density

When choosing your granite remember that the darker the color the higher the density. Black colors are the hardest granite you can get. Some black colored granite have so much iron content that you can actually stick a magnet to them. Because of this, darker colored granite is less susceptible to staining. Lighter colors are more absorbent and require more sealing. However, granite is a natural stone and all colors must be sealed.
